The short version
Are the plug-ins free?
Most of them. Halo 2000, Unity Balancer, MEY 320, MEY 640, HALLE 1280, Mey IVY, TIJN 50, CAPE and Robbie are free: a direct download, with no account and no licence key.
MEY ROB, Sonata, MEY PLAY, MEY CHECK and MEY LDC 500 V2 are paid. Each runs in full for 7 days on each computer, then one licence key, bought once on Ko-fi, works on two computers. No subscription. The price is on each product's page.
The licence gives you the right to use that plug-in, and to its updates within the same major version (for example every 1.x). A new major version, such as 2.0, may be a separate purchase, and when it comes out, support for the previous major version stops. You own the licence, not the software: it does not give you the right to reverse engineer the plug-in.
Can I use the plug-ins in commercial projects?
Yes. Every MEY plug-in, free or paid, may be used in commercial work: music you release, film, games, adverts, or anything else you are paid for.
What you may not do without explicit written permission from MEY Audio Engineering: resell the plug-ins, reverse engineer them, or include them in a distribution channel of your own, such as a bundle, a download site or a software collection. To ask for permission, write to info@wearemey.com.

How do I download a plug-in?
Open the plug-in's own page and use the download button there. It's a direct link, no email, no account and no form to fill in first.
Getting it running
Where do the plug-ins install to on macOS?
VST3 builds install to ~/Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/VST3, and AU builds to~/Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/Components.
I see a Windows SmartScreen warning when installing Halo 2000
That's expected for now. Halo 2000's Windows build isn't code-signed yet, so Windows shows its standard warning for unsigned installers. It doesn't mean anything is wrong with the download.
Does MEY 640 run natively on Apple Silicon?
Yes. It installs as a signed .pkg built for Apple silicon.
Where things are saved
Where does MEY 640 keep its preset file?
At ~/Documents/MEY/640/user.mey640preset. Back that file up before reinstalling if you want to keep your presets.
